My boss Matsumoto has been helping me since I was a newcomer. She's strict at work but treated me kindly like an older sister. Finally, I was assigned to the same department I had long hoped for. I worked hard to gain her approval, and eventually we were sent together on a regional sales trip. It was ridiculously busy and before I knew it the time to return had come. But the trains weren't running, so we had no choice but to find a place to stay for the night. The only place we found was a hot spring inn with a single room available, so the two of us stayed there. After bathing, she looked wonderful in a yukata and my heart skipped a beat. We drank while enjoying the meal the inn provided. Slightly tipsy, she was cuter than usual and I blurted out that I liked her. She laughed to break the silence and we cooled off our flushed faces together on the veranda. Feeling the night breeze, I looked at her and confessed again that I liked her.
