Honami, a housewife in her 40s, felt her married life had become monotonous and went through her days in a matter-of-fact way. One day a new university student, Yuuki, joins as staff at the restaurant where she works part-time. Despite his awkwardness, his earnest approach to the job sends small ripples through Honami's heart, and he becomes someone she notices. Yuuki, in turn, begins to feel admiration and romantic interest for the older, married Honami, and when they take shelter from the rain and he is invited to her home, Yuuki pours out his feelings to her...
