After 20 years of marriage to Kamekichi, who was about a decade older, Hiromi is heartbroken after her husband dies before her. Feeling sympathy for Hiromi, three middle-aged men from the neighborhood—Yasuda, Iwai, and Usami—visit her. Ostensibly they are there to pay respects to Kamekichi, but the three have other intentions... As these middle-aged men gently console Hiromi, she begins to let her guard down, and before long Yasuda starts coming to her house so often that Hiromi is ultimately assaulted. The tragedy does not end there...
