Her first time was in the winter of her second year of high school. She lost her virginity at her then‑boyfriend’s house, and with only two partners in total, she has a fairly ordinary romantic history and is an innocent girl. Why did she apply for this AV shoot herself? On the way to the set, I asked her casually. Her cute smile seemed to cloud over for a moment, but she spoke in a clear tone. From my perspective, the gist of her story was that she was taking on her boyfriend’s debt. However, she was driven by a strong sense of mission. “He can’t do anything without me,” she said; to her, her boyfriend is probably her identity itself. Those who grew up in unfortunate family environments are always close to loneliness, seeking to be “needed” and trying to find their own worth there. She might seem like a pitiful girl being tossed around by a useless man, but that’s not the whole story. “Doing my best for him” has become the reason she is alive now. She loves her boyfriend for her own sake. That, too, is a form of love. As the photographer, it isn’t my place to get so emotionally involved, but when I edited this video that captured her beautiful expressions, the clear look on her face when she spoke of her strong will kept flashing behind my eyelids, and I cannot deny that I became sentimentally attached.
