"Mana" works at a chocolate factory. The reason she works there stems from a movie she saw in middle school — she vaguely thought that a workplace that looked so fun would make her happy. But after actually starting factory work, she was crushed by reality: sterile machines, stark white walls, work uniforms... On her first day she thought, "This chocolate factory I imagined isn’t like this!!" Of course — reality isn’t that fantastical. It was only after getting a job that she realized her ideals differed from reality. Rather than running away from that reality, she faced it squarely and decided to live in the real world. That’s one side of her: she can be cool-headed and disillusioned when necessary. From then on she aimed to live efficiently. If she can earn money using her body, she’ll make the most of it, thinking to make effective use of her time and money. Life is for those who enjoy it, and since she naturally likes pleasant things, she felt this side job suited her.
