About this work

An earthquake struck Kumamoto in April 2016. An AV actress was spreading information on Twitter. Her name is Kami Yuki (神ユキ). When I met her at an interview in 2015, I suggested, noting the Kumamoto accent in her speech, “Why don't you come out as being from Kumamoto?” Afterwards, she changed her listed hometown to Kumamoto. It was a significant change. For her, Kumamoto was both her hometown and a place she had decided she would never return to. This time, without hiding her status as an AV actress, she provided mattresses and went to the area to volunteer. We entered Kumamoto together after the earthquake — of course, as part of an AV shoot. This work is a record of that trip.
