Z Island, the southernmost island of Japan. Investigator Miwako has come to the island alone to follow up on a series of female high school students' disappearances that occurred on the mainland. She is met by local investigator Oki, but perhaps due to the island's relaxed pace, Oki shows no sense of urgency. As Miwako eagerly throws herself into the investigation, Oki warns her, “This is a scary island. You'd be better off listening to what I say...” Feeling unsettled by his words, Miwako begins questioning people in the nightlife district. She could not imagine that just a few hours later she would experience the same terror as the missing girls herself...
