How did things end up like this? Nana is now an ordinary university student. About two years ago, when she was 18 and still in high school, she worked part-time at a maid café near her family home. She didn’t have otaku hobbies like anime or manga herself, but she liked wearing cute outfits. At the café she would sometimes sing and dance in different costumes on event days. Preparing for those events, she practiced singing and dancing, and discovered that making customers happy was truly enjoyable; she began to want to become a real idol someday. One day, a customer who had come to an event asked her, "Would you like to become an idol?" "Take proper lessons at our agency. I’ll promote you."
