Iroha loves shopping. Her hobbies are going out, shopping, and enjoying outdoor activities with friends—she's an active girl. However, while saying “shopping is my hobby” sounds fine, it becomes worrying when it reaches the point of “I can’t be satisfied unless I shop, I can’t calm down, and I get a sense of security from shopping.” Iroha has a bit of that tendency. She doesn’t like being alone much and can’t stay cooped up at home. When she’s lonely she feels as if she might die from the mental stress. She knows she has quite a few friends, but sometimes she feels terrible loneliness. She vents that stress by shopping. Even small purchases will do, but if she doesn’t buy something she can’t feel at ease. The act of buying is like a drug—small doses stop working, and she gradually needs to increase the amount. Friends who know about Iroha worry and ask, “Are you okay buying so much?” They care for her. “Actually my allowance is bad, and my parents probably won’t lend me money, so I’m thinking of borrowing somewhere,” Iroha said, and a friend introduced her to a high‑paying part‑time job. “I’ve tried it too; it feels good and you can easily make money♪” Persuaded by that, she applied.
