Three evacuated female students, influenced by a teacher who preached against the war, throw stones at the military police and are caught. When the teacher rushes over, a military policeman declares he will “strip the students naked to reform them.” The teacher says, “I will take their place,” is stripped naked and humiliated in front of the students. She yields to the brutal soldiers and, in order to protect the students, submits herself to senseless acts of sexual violence — a female teacher living in troubled times.
