Hoshina Megumi has a fairly long history as a round girl and occupies what you might call a veteran position in the industry. On the one hand, she’s dependable as a round girl and organizers can hire her with confidence; on the other, precisely because she’s a veteran she can lack freshness. That’s a tricky choice for event organizers, especially for P. That said, Megumi truly has a wonderful body — the kind of BODY organizers would like to book at least once if they could. And she’s aware of that part of the deal, as any experienced round girl would be. After much deliberation, Megumi makes a decision: she figures that if she “entertains” P, she can continue to get work. In other words, it’s a pillow business (枕営業). Choosing that route makes this an unvarnished insider look at the industry. As for P — of course, that’s you. The main piece is therefore a subjective work presented in POV. One could even argue that the CX issue might have been resolved peacefully without all the fuss if there had been that kind of mutual understanding.
