About this work

Mio divorced her husband before their child became aware and threw herself into work to forget her sorrow. On a long-awaited break she visits a hot spring inn. She is served by a young man who works at the inn. At first she thinks he's a cheerful young man and chats with him, but the pendant he wears is the same as the one she gave when they parted. Mio becomes convinced the young man may be her son. From him she learns that his father ran away at night leaving debts, and that as the guarantor's son he works at the inn from morning until night.
