After her divorce, Chisato helps out at her family's public bathhouse run solely by her father. One day she notices a timid man being mocked by others over his underwear. When she stops the commotion and asks why, he explains that the underwear was chosen by his late mother and that it looks just like Chisato. That's why, despite the teasing, he endures it and keeps coming to the bathhouse. When he clings to her and triggers her maternal instincts, Chisato gently embraces him. She also tenderly heals other men with emotional wounds — including a con artist about to turn himself in and a debt collector.
